Over a dozen years inside public health's data and technology ecosystem: as an epidemiologist, as a senior advisor at CDC, and as a technology executive. During COVID-19, I built and led CDC's digital contact tracing strategy—convening leaders from CDC, big tech, and state health departments around a problem none of them could solve alone, and scaling exposure notification tools to twenty-two states and twenty-five million people. After the pandemic, I co-authored the agency's Public Health Data Strategy.
At Skylight, a civic technology firm focused on federal health, I served as COO—overseeing the CDC portfolio and building the team and operating infrastructure that supported rapid growth.
The thread across these chapters has been the same: building the coalitions, governance, and operating rhythms that let organizations develop capabilities they couldn't reach alone. That's what a trellis does—it's the enabling structure, not the vine itself.
